Overview
Montsalvat with its distinctive buildings is set in over 12 acres of
parkland, the perfect setting for a wedding or social function, business
conference or retreat, and the property is just 26 kms from the CBD.
The Great Hall with its great open stone fireplace, slate floors,
wooden refectory tables and leadlight windows is available on week days
or weekends and Public Holidays from 5 pm. Long Gallery and some of the
other buildings are also available.
The standard hire period for the use of Montsalvat for a function is
seven hours. (Please note that the finishing time, irrespective of the
above is 12.00am, or 1.00am on a Friday (Saturday morning).
Should you wish to use the Chapel, Gallery or another part of
Montsalvat for your ceremony, when the reception is held here, then
there is no extra hire charge, but the time for the ceremony is included
as part of the seven hour hire period.
If you require extra seating or other equipment for the ceremony
further charges may be made.
Pre-dinner drinks and hors d'oeuvres can be served in the Great Hall
or the Courtyard immediately in front. Should you wish to use another of
the public areas - an extra service charge will apply.
We will provide you with a seating plan for the Great Hall. We can
also provide wooden chairs to replace the benches at an extra cost.
