If you want a full detox after a weekend bender, be sure to go to potters chapel on a 38 degree day. No aircons running in the chapel at all.

Then in the foyer, only one working aircon. The only thing that saved them from a 1 star review was the food wasn't too bad.

Its 2025 guys, get your sh#t together and spend some money on some decent aircons for the chapel.

My husband and I had our wedding in January 2025. We had planned to have our luncheon wedding ceremony in the garden gazebo and the reception underneath the stunning vines of the property. Very unfortunately, the forecasted weather was raining, which therefore caused a very stressed and anxious bride.
The staff who worked there, were incredibly kind and understanding, I wish I could say the same for the management and owners. I am not here to write a negative review, only a very honest one.
If your heart is set on having an outside wedding, please ensure that you are 10000% happy with the inside option. The venue was unable to be creative in any way, to allow us to have the wedding we dreamed of. We payed lots of money to have our wedding outside, and even paid an extra thousand dollars, which was not refunded or given back to us in the form of drinks or food, "just because", even though they could not provide us the paid for service.
My husband suggested many options and ideas to ensure we could have our wedding in the courtyard, but every suggestion was denied, they even asked us to pay an extra $500 just to put the tables and chairs back inside, even though we had already lost $1000 for no reason. And there was no way to have it outside even if it were raining because they didn't want to get their chairs wet.
They ask for a minimum spend, but be aware that the childrens cost is not included in the minimum spend, which makes no sense to me as children still cost (at this stage) $80pp.
We were told we weren't able to use the inside speakers because "music damages the speakers" which again makes no sense, however they allowed us to use them after about 5 minutes when the speakers we provided weren't working because the reception is terrible in the inside reception room.
The staff were very helpful when getting me out of the car because it was pouring down rain, however, my daughters flower crown was not at the altar because they left it upstairs, and therefore she didn't get to wear in down the aisle and during the ceremony to complete her outfit.
The food was very good, and I am still hearing positive reviews about how well catered the event was and two of the staff in particular was very helpful and supportive throughout the day. A very special mention to Trillian who did her very best to accomodate throughout the week leading up to the wedding. She does a very good job and we are grateful for her.
As a little girl who had dreamed of this big day growing up, I would say that this day was quite possibly the most dissapointing day of my life, as the months of planning leading up to the day went down the drain.
Potters can't control the weather, they can be accomodating though, and they certainly weren't (they, being management and the owners - very greedy and unkind during a very stressfull time for a couple just wanting to celebrate their love).
However, if you are looking for an inside wedding, Potters Receptions in a very beautiful property and I would recommend it. The chapel was a stunning alternative to host out ceremony, I didn't particularly like the inside reception area, however, if you like it and that's what you're looking for then this venue would be a good consideration. The venue provides lots of areas for photo opportunities and the accom is also really nice.

Potters Reception was the very first venue we visited - and we immediately fell in love. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and created the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. The team was professional, organised, and quick to respond to all of our questions throughout the planning process. We also appreciated that they had weather contingency options in place, which gave us peace of mind.

However, there were some aspects of the experience that left us feeling a little disappointed. While the venue is stunning, we found that they weren’t very flexible when it came to personal touches or special requests. For example, despite having an on-site bridal suite, we weren’t allowed to use it to get ready with our makeup artists on site for the wedding. We had also booked all the accommodation at the venue but were denied an hour early check-in for just one of the rooms unless we pay for an additional fee.

Additionally, some of our ideas - like having a couple of whisky bottles at the bridal table—came with unexpectedly high charges, which felt a bit excessive. There were a few more additional charges such as menu tasting while we don't get to choose which one we wanna taste. A lot to things involve additional fees, which we weren't aware of before we paid our deposit.

Overall, while Potters provided a stunning setting and a well-run event, we wish there had been more flexibility and accommodation for the little things that make a wedding feel truly personal.

Hopefully, this review gives the couples some head ups for some additional fees.

Beautiful wedding venue, with lots of greenery. Canapes and dinner had no particular standouts. Beef and swordfish main was overcooked and tough, choc lava cake and potato gnocchi was delicious.
