Overview
The Wattle Park Chalet was built in 1928 and has operated continuously as an event venue since it opened and is thought to be the only venue from the 1920’s that is still operating in its original form.
The heritage-listed Chalet is known for its architectural character, formal garden, as well as the aesthetic qualities of the surrounding 137 acres of parkland a mere 10km from Melbourne’s CBD, and offers a range of facilities for celebrations, events and functions.
For weddings, the private garden, loggia and mezzanine balconies provide elegant, romantic settings for the ceremony and aperitifs, while the Grand Hall can seat up to 180 guests.

We cannot recommend Nathan from Provincial Events and his team highly enough. Nothing was ever too much trouble, no question went unanswered, and they truly went above and beyond both in the lead-up and on the day itself. Their professionalism and care made the entire experience seamless.
The food and beverage packages are generous and thoughtfully curated, catering to all dietary requirements with an impressive range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The space itself is stunning indoors, and the surrounding gardens are charming and perfect for photos. There’s also ample parking and excellent amenities for guests.
Simply gorgeous. This venue deserves far more visibility and praise — we hope more couples discover it and give it the recognition it truly deserves.
It doesn’t need too much decorating since it is already so beautiful, and we used Heather’s Floral Designs who is very familiar with the venue. Food was great, everything ran smoothly - so happy to have created memories at this beautiful venue that will last a lifetime.
