Creating Memories

My name is Elisabeth Pietsch and I am a Civil Marriage Celebrant. I live in Melbourne and also a weekender in Warburton. As a marriage celebrant I have been granted the absolute pleasure and the best vantage spot in many wedding ceremonies. One thing that I have realised is that although each couple and ceremony is different, there are some things that remain common to them all. Smiling faces, tears of joy, infectious laughter and a space that is bursting to the brim with love are always present. And that is why I love what I do. I am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants.

It is also important to me that you find the process of creating your wedding ceremony enjoyable and that we give it the respect and dignity it deserves. After all, this is the part of your wedding day where you are actually getting married! Being a marriage celebrant is not simply a job. I consider it to be an absolute honour in being able to play a part at such a significant time in people’s lives.

These days boring and stuffy ceremonies are a thing of the past. As long as you have the legal components incorporated, you are free to do whatever you choose, so use your imagination and let your personalities shine through. It is my ultimate goal to ensure that your wedding ceremony is a part of your wedding day that you will not only look forward to but enjoy, and that will leave you and your guests with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

The great thing about being married by a Civil Celebrant is that you get to choose where and when you get married. You also have the opportunity to create a ceremony that is uniquely yours. You can choose words, poems and readings that reflect your feelings for each other, and if you share a great sense of humour, this is the perfect occasion to showcase to your guests, your fun loving side.

This is your day, so enjoy yourselves, include happy memories, favourite readings and music, which tell the story of your romance. Be creative, make it your Wedding and you will have a day to cherish.
