TipiKata is Victoria’s first event hire company that specialises in hiring giant kata tipis that originate from the Lapland region of Sweden. These tipis provide a completely unique and versatile outdoor event space, that give our clients freedom to create a relaxed and stunning wedding celebration that reflects their personality and meets their individual needs. Constructed with solid wooden poles, and a durable, weatherproof, natural coloured canvas, a wonderful feature of TipiKata teepees is that the sides can be raised to provide additional undercover space and to enjoy beautiful weather or scenery.

Sometimes our clients expect that our tipis are the North American Indian variety but when we explain that they are Nordic Tipis, and are in fact much larger, they are surprised and amazed. One single tipi stands majestically at 7.5 metres tall and is 10.3 metres in diameter. The tipi will hold 100 people for a cocktail event or 64 for a seated meal Two tipis joined together provide for a cocktail event catering for 200 or sit down for 120.

Our clients can choose to hire our tipis alone or take advantage of one of our competitive tipi packages. These packages include our range of Nordic inspired wooden trestle tables with matching benches, along with lighting, matting and a dance floor. The tipis are stunning enough that they require little decoration, but you can always add feature accessories such as our indoor fireplace, fairy lighting and flood lights for a stand out event.
